Proptosis under evaluation—a rare case report on pseudolymphoma of orbit

Abstract Background Orbital pseudolymphoma is one of the rare diseases affecting ocular adnexa and causing various symptoms requiring histopathological evidence for diagnosis appropriate treatment with oral steroids or immunosuppressive agents. However, there less literature available on this disease, thus adding to it will help in early patients. Case presentation A 48-year-old female from a village South India came our tertiary care centre only complaints right eye protrusion 1 year. With working intraorbital mass, radiological investigations like contrast-enhanced CT MRI were taken. It showed well-capsulated mass involving inferior rectus extending into intraconal space just abutting optic nerve. Trans-antral endoscopic biopsy under general anaesthesia was taken reported as proven CD 3 20 immunohistochemistry markers. The patient treated corticosteroids tapered over period months. During period, developed no diminution vision new complaints. Conclusion pseudolymphomas are benign lymphoproliferative adnexal tissue. Patients can present painless ptosis, proptosis, diplopia, eyelid swelling. Prompt result remission disease.
